If you are in the UK, then hopefully you are able to visit one of the German supermarket chains that have expanded over here.  Their prices on food are much lower than the big two, and I hope these shops will help stop the near-monopoly situation on food prices.  One amusing thing when you visit these shops is the choice of weekly special offers on non-food items, for example a huge range of equestrian riding apparel is often on sale at our London inner city branch, miles from any stables or bridleways. .  Tally Ho!
